Warren Morris 1996 Walk-Off
One of the most memorable moments in the history of the NCAA CWS!

Like most folks, I love sports, especially college football and baseball. And that's because I have lived, for the past 50 years in a town that lives and breathes their college football and baseball. Both sports headline their respective seasons here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where the LSU Tigers in each of these sports are multiple-time, top of the heap world champions.
And considering the fact that the baseball Tigers, led by four-year head coach, Jay Johnson, just ended their hosting of the super-regionals, here at Alex Box Stadium/Skip Bertman Field and will fly out for Omaha and the CWS series in the next few days, I couldn't help but recall this particular event.
It was 29-years ago yesterday (June 8, 1996) this unforgettable experience entered the record books and the cherished memories of countless Tiger fans. The walk-off homer (his only home run for the entire season) by 2nd baseman, Warren Morris. I watched it live on TV as Morris, with a swing of the bat, brought the title and the trophy home to Baton Rouge! It's as awesome, for me, to watch it again, 29 years after-the-fact. It simply never gets old!
So, I'll share a nice graphic I saved off of Facebook, followed up by a replay of Warren Morris making his mark in the history of the CWS.
